On a gorgeous fall day back in mid-October, we took Amelia and Penelope to a small little place to run around and play and pick out a couple of pumpkins. My parents were town that whole week prior babysitting so it was nice to have a few extra hands to wrangle the girls while Paul took pictures. The pumpkin "patch" was quite small, tucked in behind the mini Der Dutchman and was basically a big wooden jungle gym, a few farm animals fenced in together, a small straw maze and some pumpkins lined up on the ground. There was a soccer tournament going on behind that so I think all the cars we saw back there misled us into thinking the pumpkin patch was decent size. Regardless though, the girls had a fun time which is really all that matters. :)
Grabbing some "treats" to feed the animals
Feeding the goats
Feeding a cow (with a little prompting from Mommy)
Giggling at the goats
Going where Mommy and Grandma go (which is rare because we're usually the ones following them :D )
Curious about the piglet
Penelope taking Mommy into the maze
Amelia showing Grandma the way around
Just too cute :)
Playing together at a "dead end"
And finally, choosing their pumpkins
Here are a few random pictures from play time (also back in October). All the natural light we get in their playroom in the afternoons can make for some really nice pictures.
Amelia goofing off for Daddy's camera
Penelope checking out all the stickers that she stuck together
Penelope reading with Mommy (and yes, I am SO embarrassed by her hair - but not to worry...haircuts were within a week after this picture was taken!)
Such a cutie pie!
But my favorites by far from this particular afternoon....
Coming soon....Boo at the Zoo and Halloween!
