Goals

I've been setting goals for myself ever since I started swimming (in 4th grade) and more often than not, my goals are physical challenges.  Even after I stopped swimming competitively and started running just for the exercise, I kept a goal in mind.  Beat a certain time, go a certain distance, lose so many lbs... you get the idea.  Yesterday though, I set a different kind of goal for myself.  Do a blog post at least every other day this week.  Even if I don't say too much in them, I've got so many pictures from September, October and November that they will speak for themselves.  So here goes, traveling all the way back to mid September when we took the girls to a small, local apple orchard to pick some apples.

Penelope is Mommy's helper (while Amelia watches and eats!)

Same one helping, same one eating  :D

Amelia loves her apples.  And I love her pigtails!

Both girls seemed to eat a few bites and then move on to the next.  Just taste testing I suppose...

Look at those little legs go!

Few chickens at the orchard - girls were fascinated watching them.

And still eating their apples.  It's a wonder we didn't have any upset tummies that afternoon!

A couple weekends later we went to a small metro park in Dublin right by the big Scioto River.  While the girls weren't really into cooperating or listening to Mommy and Daddy or having their pictures taken, the leaves were beautiful and we still came home with a couple cute shots.

Checking out the dried up river bed

Still into wearing sunglasses whenever/wherever she can

Cute hair

Playing London Bride on the bridge (and that's all this park really was....one very long footbridge).

Also in September, Amelia used her potty seat 2x in one day at Grandma C's and while she was super proud of herself when asked about it, she hasn't shown much interest since - at least not here at home.  I'm not rushing that though and am totally comfortable waiting until next spring/summer (unless the girls ask otherwise!) to really give it a try.  So that's about it for now.  That takes us to mid-October and next up, picking pumpkins.  See you in a couple days - or sooner!   :)

I see the opening photo is from last year's Santa visit. Do you think they will understand about Santa this year so they won't be scared to sit on his lap??
